Through the Trees Canvas Print
I created this piece for a local exhibition, Encounters, where each of the artists took inspiration from a library of Art Books donated to the gallery on behalf of the late, local artist Dorothy Newland.

This piece was a very different creation to my previous work. I had predominantly worked with a blue palette up to this point and felt the need for a new direction. Klimt’s landscape work created this opportunity and reconnected me to beautiful forests of South Western Australia and my love of the silver birch trees in England where I grew up.
I used different coloured resists to create the symbols often used by Klimt to recreate the abstract elements of this piece and used the dyes sparingly to create realist trees.
Canvas prints are printed on 392gsm, museum grade, HP canvas. They have a matte-finish with vivid, accurate colour reproduction.
Stretched canvas prints are available in A4, A3, A2 and A1 sizes and include free delivery Australia wide. They are gallery wrapped on a frame ready to hang.
Unstretched canvas prints are available in all sizes, with a 75mm border. They are shipped in a tube ready for you or your local framer to frame.
