Original Silk Painting, Silk dyes on pure silk, size 40 x 60cm

Part of the “Whale Song” series, Little Shadow, is a celebration of the connection between humans and whales.

Baleen whales do not echolocate but instead make low-frequency sounds that travel enormous distances in water.

The whale song is said to be one of the largest communication networks of any animal, except humans.

Unlike toothed whales, the baleens - like blue whales, fin whales, gray whales, right whales and of course, the majestic humpbacks - have vocal chords and we still don’t know why they sing….maybe they are just happy.

FREE SHIPPING on originals. Only available for shipping within Australia.

The silk painting has been gallery wrapped on a canvas frame and is ready to hang.
