This artwork, originally painted on silk, is an observation of an ocean reef from above.
Drone photography has changed our perspective of the world around us and I enjoyed experimenting with the flow of the silk dyes to represent how the ocean could look from a birds eye view.
The layers of turquoise, aqua and rich blues have captured the shallow and deep waters around an ocean reef. The use of silver gutta resist over the dyes highlights the shapes and flow of the currents and reef.
This print is available in 5 sizes:
A4, A3 & A2 are printed on 200gsm fine smooth, acid free paper.
A1 & A0 are printed on 320gsm Cotton Rag.
